In the final quarter of 2020, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic witnessed a fluctuating trend in downloads starting at approximately 54K and dipping to 30K before rising again to around 43K by the end of December. Weekly active users experienced a significant drop from 1.6M to 1.1M in early November, but rebounded, reaching over 1.5M active users by the year's end.
Google Earth saw its downloads peak in mid-October at about 22K, followed by a slight decrease and stabilization around 19K towards December. The app's weekly active users slightly fluctuated, with a low of 132K in early December and a high of 157K at the end of the month.
For Mappy, downloads began at roughly 11K and saw a decrease to 6K in November, with a slight recovery to 8K by the close of the quarter. The app's weekly active users hovered around the 50K mark, with minimal variation throughout the period.
The GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation app showed an initial decrease in downloads from 6K to 3K, but rebounded strongly in December, ending with 12K downloads. Weekly active users exhibited growth from 21K to nearly 39K, before closing the quarter at around 34K.
Lastly, Google Maps Go experienced a fluctuating download pattern, starting at 6K, peaking at 9K in early November, and ending the quarter with 5.7K downloads. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, ranging from 28K to 32K throughout the quarter.
